Hi, I am Anna! I really first got into running in 2019 when I ran my first half marathon at Disney. I was a competitive cheerleader all the way through college and could never understand why my crazy little sister (Emily) would go out to run for hours at a time FOR FUN.  It really mystified me. Eventually, I caved and decided to give this “running thing” a try, mainly to shut Emily up. Of course, the first thing I tried to do was a half marathon with very little training (this happens frequently with us, stay tuned). Since then , I have been completely hooked. Emily and I are constantly pushing each other to improve and coming up with crazy running plans and goals. I was told not to get sappy, but this sport has really brought us closer together, and I am so grateful for that. I am so excited for us  FINALLY taking on our dream challenge next year at the WDW Marathon weekend! #Dopey2023

Hi! I’m Emily. I’ve started running in 2011 when I joined my high school cross country team. I ran my first Disney race in 2015. It was also my first half marathon, the farthest I have ever run at this point was 7 miles. I don’t know if it was the magic of Disney or the heat exhaustion, but I fell in love with running 13.1 miles (crazy, right?). Since then I have slowly, one by one, hooked my family members on running. My biggest accomplishment has been changing Anna to a “why would you run for fun” person to a “when can I sign up for my next race” person. Over the years we have challenged ourselves with more races, further distances, and faster times. Our favorite race every year will forever be Disney Marathon Weekend. Our favorite activity is taking race day photos, unfortunately I am incapable of making a normal face in most pictures. I am very excited to see what faces I can pull off during #Dopey2023.
